“Napanood po ako. Lagi, pinapanood niya kaming mga impersonators niya and ayaw na ayaw niya 'yung gumaganu'n (pointing up) kami. Ayaw niya, hindi naman daw siya gumaganu'n,” Ate Gay recalled.

Beyond merely watching, Nora Aunor also made a surprise guest appearance at one of Ate Gay’s solo concerts at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Nu'ng nag-guest siya sa aking solo concert sa Mall of Asia Arena. Ayun ang hindi ko makakalimutan, na um-oo agad siya. Tsaka umakyat siya sa stage,” Ate Gay shared.

She emphasized how the moment left an indelible mark on her career and heart.

The Superstar’s passing on April 16, 2025, at the age of 71, was confirmed by her children. Ian De Leon expressed the family’s sorrow on Facebook, saying,
