“Long before K-dramas took over the Philippines, we had Meteor Garden. I remember feeling devastated whenever I missed an episode after school because we had to go to Makati for VTRs- until one day, my parents surprised me with a portable TV on my dad's headrest so I could watch on the road.”

Louise went on to share how much she admired Barbie’s character, Shan Cai.
“I had this exact photo on my wall and always prayed to be like San Chai - not for bagging Dao Ming Si and Hua Ze Lei, but for her resilience and determination. As a kid, I adored her charm, wore her signature braids to school, and copied her quirky fashion whenever I could.”
She also emotionally expressed, “It may seem silly to mourn someone I never met, but Meteor Garden was a huge part of my childhood - those car rides, Pepsi Blue hunts, and singing Ni Yao De Ai feeling like San Chai.”
