"The Kingdom," starring Vic Sotto and Piolo Pascual, is among the much-talked-about 50th Metro Manila Film Festival entries.

Recently, Pauleen Luna shared APT Entertainment, Inc.'s post showing a review of the action-adventure film.

In the review, the author lauded Bossing Vic's performance in the movie.

"You know who deserves that Breakthrough Performance award? Vic Sotto. 'Breakthrough' does not mean 'rookie' nor 'young.' It means a 'sudden development or discovery.' Watch #TheKingdom and you'd get what I mean. #MMFF2024."

The review's author further underscored, "I'm starting to think Vic Sotto had been in the wrong genre (comedy) all this time but scratch that He has entered his serious acting role era. Political thrillers fit him."

Pauleen reposted the screenshot of the review and expressed her approval as well.

Vic Sotto is an iconic actor, comedian, and television host in the Philippines. He is best known for being the main host of 'Eat Bulaga' and for his blockbuster comedy movies. The actor is married to actress Pauleen Luna, and they have two daughters named Tali and Thia.

As previously reported by KAMI, Vic Sotto summed up his reason for not entering politics. In an interview with The Philippine Star, the veteran comedian explained he’s leaving politics to his brother, Tito Sotto, and his son, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto. He also believed one doesn’t have to be in politics to be a public servant.
