Neri Miranda’s bail for one of the two criminal complaints filed against her runs to almost two million pesos.

The said complaint, one involving alleged 14 counts of violations of the Securities Regulation Code, has a total bail of more than P1.7 million.

The bail for each count has been set at P126K, and with 14 counts, the bail sums up to P1.764 million.

The other case, which is allegedly a syndicated estafa charge, is a non-bailable offense.

This means that even if Neri comes up with the required bail amount in the alleged violation of the Securities Regulation code complaint, she would have to remain detained at the Pasay City Jail while the case is being tried.

Earlier, Neri had been arrested for securities violations and estafa last week, shocking many. Since then, Chito has released a statement where he talked about his wife's sudden arrest. The 'Parokya ni Edgar' frontman also said the people are truly responsible for the issue are still free.

It can be recalled that last November 23, Saturday, Neri was arrested by elements of the Southern Police District. In a report by GMA News, Neri had already posted bail for the violations of the Securities Regulations Code. However, she still remains incarcerated for the charge of syndicated estafa, which is non-bailable. Chito has also issued a statement in defense of his wife, whom he said has been nothing but a good and kind soul, helping those around her.
