TV host Boy Abunda, in an insightful interview, revealed why he doesn’t involve himself in politics.

In an article by The Philippine Star, the Asia’s King of Talk shared that he has turned down offers to run for elective posts several times.

“Dati pa (I received offers to run). I’m the only one in the family who’s not been in politics. Kung talagang interesado ako, matagal na,” he opened up.

Tito Boy went on to explain why he decided not to venture into politics.

“The word is wala sa bituka. No fire in the belly. My sister right now is congresswoman. She was a nine-year vice mayor, nine-year mayor. Nanay (Lesing) was vice-mayor and konsehal. My father was a small-town politician. Hindi ko talaga siya ano,” he stressed.

He also recollected, “Madali mag-turn down. Before, when I was offered, Nanay was there. It was very easy.”

Although he is familiar with politics because of his consulting firm, Tito Boy insinuated that he would never leave showbiz for a real political life.

“Hindi naman ako shy, hindi ako nagpapahabol, pero wala talaga. But some of you know, I have a political consulting firm. I am familiar with politics. It has nothing to do with not knowing. Hindi talaga eh. I love showbiz.”

Boy Abunda is a Filipino TV host, presenter, and talent manager. He is also known as the 'King of Talk' in the showbiz industry.

The King of Talk went on to ask for Bea's consent to hug the actress. The "Widow's War" star then aired an affectionate response to Tito Boy. In February, Tito Boy confirmed in the talk show that the two had already broken up and called their engagement off.
