Andrew E, who was visible during the 2022 polls for campaigning for the Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte tandem, revealed that he was offered a government position following the elections.
The hip-hop icon bared to The Philippine Star that he was offered to be a board director at the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) but turned it down.
“Tumanggi ako kasi for me, it’s not my cup of tea and not in my heart. Siguro, naibigay na sa akin yung puwesto for entertaining millions of crowds. Para sa akin, okay na yun,” the rapper explained.

Andrew revealed that people are also urging him to run for an elective post. However, he admitted he has no “calling” to venture into politics.
“But offers tumakbo, ang dami. Ayoko. Sabi ko sa kanila, kapatid, yung calling, wala sa akin. Kasi kung yung calling nasa akin, ‘di niyo ako mauunahan. Nun pa ako nag-gagagawa ng mga civic activities, but no calling.”
Andrew Ford Valentino Espiritu, better known as Andrew E, is a rapper-comedian and record producer, who rose to fame with his catchy music tunes, including “Humanap Ka Ng Pangit,” “Banyo Queen,” and many more. He also appeared in many comedy films at the height of his fame, and some of his movies are “Megamol”, “Mana-mana, Tiba-tiba”, and “S2pid Luv.”
He spoke to KAMI about the results of the 2022 elections in the Philippines. He gave some words of encouragement to the people who were disappointed with the results of the said election. The hip-pop legend urged those people to trust their hearts and to stand for what they believe in.
In another report, Andrew E took to Facebook and shared his surprise when he received the bill for his meal in Seoul, South Korea. He took a picture and showed a photo of his total bill, which was 46,000 Korean won. The rapper and comedian also enumerated the foods that they ate which comprised 46,000Krw or almost 2,000 pesos. "Egg lang at konting gulay…!!! Oh my gulay!!!" he said in the caption.
