- In a social media post, the guy, Steven Dominique Mariano, who works at a Guide Bike Tours and Bike Rental company in Intramuros said someone emailed them a month ago about a VIP who wanted to rent a bicycle on October 4

- When the appointed day came, Mariano said it was only then he realized it was Olivia Rodrigo who would be using the bicycle that they readied for the VIP

- He admitted getting shocked and star-struck at the sight of the singer, adding that he wanted to go to her GUTS concert but he wasn’t able to get a ticket because they’re already sold out

The guy who goes by the name of Steven Dominique Mariano, then narrated how he was able to have a once-in-a-lifetime type selfie with the international singer.

“Yung naubusan ka ng ticket sa concert pero nakasalubong mo naman siya 😎,” he said in a Facebook post.

Mariano, who works at the Guide Bike Tours and Bike Rental company in Intramuros said a month ago, they received an email from someone who said a VIP wanted to rent one of their bicycles on October 4.

When the day arrived, Mariano said he was surprised when he realized the VIP was Olivia Rodrigo who apparently wanted to explore the walled city of Intramuros on board a bicycle.

Needless to say, Mariano was both shocked and star-struck at the sight of the international singer, adding that like many Filipinos, he wanted to go to the singer’s GUTS concert but was unable to get a ticket because they’re already sold out.

“I work at a company kasi here sa Intramuros where we provide Guide Bike Tours and Bike Rental services, and last month may nag-email sa 'min regarding bike rental for Oct 4, nagpa-reserve sila kasi VIP daw,” Mariano told Pilipino Star Ngayon Digital in an interview.
“And then dumating na yung araw... Dun ko na nakita si Olivia Rodrigo and siya pala yung gagamit ng bike na ini ready namin... Of course, my reaction ay na-starstruck and gulat na gulat kasi napaka unexpected na pangyayare, inaasahan ko lang ay yung day na ito ay another regular day na naman pero hindi kasi makakakita ka pala ng world class singer,” he added.

The famous international singer, who happens to be half-Filipino on her dad’s side, is in the Philippine stop for her GUTS world tour.

Her fame, however, didn’t stop her from trying to do normal things like riding a bicycle inside Intramuros and explore the walled city.
