Lolit Solis, in a recent post in her Instagram account, admitted that she watched the Senate hearing that Alice Guo attended today.

The veteran showbiz columnist then expressed amazement at the courage displayed by Guo amid intense questioning by legislators.
“Salve buong umaga hanggang tanghali talaga na tutok ako sa Alice Guo sa Senate. Kaloka ha, parang feeling ko punaglalaruan si Alice Guo ha,” Manay Lolit said in her post.
“At hanga ako na ang lakas ng loob niya sa pagharap sa mga senador,” she added.

The veteran showbiz columnist then wondered if Guo has a boyfriend who can give her emotional support.
“At isa talaga pumasok sa isip ko Salve at Gorgy wah ba BF si Alice para man lang magbigay emotional support sa kanya. Kung iisipin mo matapang niyang hinaharap ang mga problema niya ha. Bongga ha,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.
She then said that Guo must have lots of money because of her POGO connections, adding that she wouldn’t be surprised if the former Mayor’s life would be made into a movie.
“Very charming siya at dahil sa Pogo connect niya meaning dami niya datung at her age na bata pa kung iisipin mo. Hindi ako magtataka na meron gustong gawin movie ang buhay niya dahil very exciting ha,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.
“Very colorful at kung iisipin mo ang daming twist ha. At ang dami mong malalaman dahil pati ang corruption sa pagkuha ng birth certificate at passport. Bongga talaga😂,” Manay Lolit concluded.
Alice Leal Guo was the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then. She has been dismissed by the Omnbudsman.
Earlier today, Guo was seen in a video shared by Sen. Risa Hontiveros' office wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet as she was brought to the Senate. The latter part of the video also showed that Guo is already in the Senate premises. It can be recalled that Sen. Risa last Friday shared a copy of a document showing the court permitting Guo to attend Senate hearings. The dismissed official was arrested in Jakarta, Indonesia last week, turned over to Philippine authorities and brought back to the Philippines.
It was in that Senate hearing that Guo was personally reprimanded by Senator Joel Villanueva in the ongoing hearing of the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality. In an opening statement, Sen. Joel vented out his frustration against Guo for insulting the entire government. He also expressed frustration at the fact that when Guo was apprehended, it would seem to him like Guo did not show any concern. Senator Joel ended his statement by saying that he and his colleagues in the government were offended by Guo.
