Herlene Budol, also known as “Hipon Girl,” in a recent post on Instagram Stories, reacted to the comments of netizens regarding the mishap involving her at the GMA Gala 2024.

It can be recalled that the beauty queen and actress appeared to have stumbled, causing her to fell face forward while walking the stage during the event.

While many netizens pity her and wondered if she’s okay, there were some who suggested that it might not be an accident after all.

Others blame Herlene for the type of gown she wore, saying that one would surely stumble and fall with that kind of gown.

The actress, however, has just one simple reply to such comments.

“Tama na kayo!!! Hahahahahaha,” Herlene wrote in an IG post containing screenshots of the messages posted by some netizens.

Herlene Budol, also known as 'Hipon Girl', is an actress, comedian, and social media star who broke through in showbiz as a contestant on “Wowowin” and later became a host. Herlene was first runner-up and won several minor awards at the 2022 Binibining Pilipinas pageant. She was also crowned as Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 in the recent Miss Grand Philippines pageant. Herlene played the lead role in Kapuso afternoon series "Magandang Dilag."

Recently, Herlene posted a message for everyone after the video of her stumbling and falling off the stage during the GMA Gala 2024 went viral. In her message that she posted on 'X', Herlene said incidents like stumbling and falling are natural and shouldn't be something to laugh about. She clarified that it was really an accident, then chastised those who say she just did it so she would trend online.

It can be recalled that she indeed trended online after encountering the minor accident. The Kapuso star stumbled and fell off the stage while flaunting her Leo Almodal couture gown. Following the unfortunate incident, she took to Instagram Stories and shared a video of her right leg. It could be seen in the video that Herlene's knee and thigh are wounded.
