Herlene Budol met a minor accident at the recently concluded GMA Gala 2024, which took place at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel Manila in Pasay City on Saturday, July 20.

While flaunting her Leo Almodal couture gown called "Birth of Venus" on the runway, Herlene stumbled and fell off the stage.

A video of the actress and beauty queen encountering the unfortunate incident then made the rounds all over social media.

On Sunday, July 21, Herlene took Instagram Stories and posted a clip showing her right leg.

As seen in the short video, the Kapuso star sustained minor wounds on her knee and thigh.

Herlene also put a frowning face emoji on the video.

Herlene Budol, also known as 'Hipon Girl', is an actress, comedian, and social media star who broke through in showbiz as a contestant on “Wowowin” and later became a host. Herlene was first runner-up and won several minor awards at the 2022 Binibining Pilipinas pageant. She was also crowned as Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 in the recent Miss Grand Philippines pageant. Herlene played the lead role in Kapuso afternoon series "Magandang Dilag."

Barbie Forteza didn’t mind breaking protocol just so she could help Herlene Budol. The latter met an unfortunate incident at the GMA Gala. On seeing her fellow Kapuso star needing help, she immediately ran to assist Herlene. In a video posted on social media, one can see Barbie greeting the audience and making poses when the incident happened.

The Kapuso star then defended herself after the unfortunate incident went viral and received negative reactions from her bashers. She took to X, formerly Twitter, to respond to bashers who assumed she did the shocking incident on purpose. The actress and beauty queen also assured her followers that she did not sustain any major injury.
