Claudine Barretto belied a post about Rico Yan that displays her name, Margaret Barretto.

The fake post claimed that Claudine had a fiery reaction to the latest trend that involves the late actor.

Rico became trending on social media, especially on TikTok, after fans posted clips of them visiting the final resting place of the deceased matinee idol at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.

On her Instagram page, Claudine posted a screenshot that shows the fake post.

"Please respeto kay Yan. Tinalo niyo pa ako sa mga pa-time lapse niyo. Wag niyo ipilit yung pag-alala kay Yan, hindi niyo naman na siya naabutan. Wag niyong gawing content yung puntod niya," the post reads.

In the caption, Claudine simply wrote, "FAKE NEWS!!!!"

Claudine Barretto is one of the three famous Barretto sisters, which include Gretchen Barretto and Marjorie Barretto. Clau rose to fame when she became a cast of the 90's TV show, "Ang TV." In 1993, she joined the cast of "Home Along Da Riles," which stars comedy king Dolphy Quizon. Other teleseryes that Claudine starred in include "Mula sa Puso," "Saan Ka Man Naroroon," "Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan," "Marina," and "Iisa Pa Lamang." She tied the knot with Raymart Santiago in the year 2006, though several years later, the two parted ways.
