Melai Cantiveros, in a recent interview with Bernadette Sembrano for her YouTube channel, made some revelations about her father.

“Si Papa ay may cancer, prostate cancer ngayon,” Melai said during the interview.

She then said that she’s spending around 100K every month to help with the treatment of his father, adding that she’s very thankful as the Lord blessed her with many projects.

“Thank you Lord kasi ang gamutan nasu-survive P100,000 every month. Nasu-survive dahil kay Lord na binigyan ako ng trabaho,” the TV host and comedienne said.

Despite this, Melai still considers everything a blessing.

“Blessing ko pa rin itong mga ibinigay sa akin, eh. Si mama nga isa na lang kidney. Nagkasakit kasi ang isang kidney kaya tinanggal na lang,” she revealed.

The TV host also said that her parents are starting to get ashamed with all the help she’s been sending them.

“Ang parents ko naman hiyang-hiya. Sabi ko sa kanila, masaya tayo dahil binibigyan tayo ni Lord. Hindi naman ‘yan sa akin. Para rin yan sa inyo. Sumunod lang kayo sa gamutan para masaya ang mga anak niyo,” Melai concluded.

Melai Cantiveros is a prominent showbiz personality in the Philippines. She became famous in 2009 after winning "Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up." She also won the first season of the Filipino version of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" in 2015. She is happily married to Jason Francisco and they have two wonderful children.

Recently, Melai also addressed speculations that the reality show PBB is scripted. She said this during the media conference for the 11th season of the show. She then pointed out to her relationship with former co-housemate, Jason Francisco, and said they already have kids and that can’t be scripted.

She also shrugged off rumors that her husband, Jason Francisco, has been unfaithful. In an interview with Bernadette Sembrano, Melai said that she is very lucky because Jason is very faithful. She then slammed rumors and noted that it is exactly the problem when it comes to things online since people do not really know what is going on. Melai then said that she and Jason simply don't want to address the rumor because they don't need to explain at all.
