“Ninakaw ang video ko at ginagamit nila,” the actress and TV host said.
Amy then asked everyone to be careful, adding that the alleged endorsement even had her age wrong.
“Mag ingat po tayo! And HELLO wala pa akong 60 years old. Oh di ba mali?!” Amy said in her post.
Amy Perez is a veteran host and actress in the Philippines. She is one of the hosts of the ABS-CBN variety program “It’s Showtime” and is known as a loyal Kapamilya.
It was only last April that Amy also slammed the use of her face and voice using artificial intelligence or AI in another video endorsing a menopausal drug. In the said video, one can see Amy talking to a person and attesting to the efficacy of a particular menopausal drug. What made the video a bit creepy was the voice talking sounded like the real Amy Perez, while the face is hers but manipulated by AI to make it appear she’s the one spewing out words. In a social media post, Amy denied having any connection to the said advertisement that promoted the menopausal drug
Late last year in an episode of "It's Showtime," Amy apologized for almost uttering a word she's not supposed to say on air. Although she didn't say the word in full, she still said sorry. The host just burst out laughing with her fellow hosts, joking that they might want to go on vacation again. It can be recalled they all went to Hong Kong after the show was slapped by MTRCB with a 12-day suspension.
