Michelle Dee took to Instagram and penned a truly sweet and heartfelt farewell to the MUPH crown.

She thanked everyone who have been part of her journey, and chose to wear the Mark Bumgarner gown hat she wore during the evening gown competition of Miss Universe 2023 pageant.

When the team and I found out that it wasn’t possible to give this gown its own segment… it was a no-brainer for me to wear it (for the last time) during my final walk.

Wearing it again felt like I was also giving homage to every story, every drop of sweat, and every ounce of effort that all of you did to create such a transformational force to the universe and I have to reiterate that my success that came after is all of ours to share. ❤️‍

Michelle Marquez Dee is a beauty queen who rose to fame after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant. She represents the Philippines at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador. Michelle’s mother is actress and former beauty queen Melanie Marquez, who has been very supportive of her in all things.

Last month, in an interview with Dyan Castillejo, Michelle admitted that she became super close with Anntonia. She also said that her closeness with her was more than the other Ms. Universe candidates during and after the pageant. The Philippines’ bet to the Ms. Universe 2023 beauty pageant also revealed there is a huge chance she and Anntonia would be together again in upcoming future projects. Michelle, however, said that her relationship with Anntonia is purely platonic and that there is no romantic link between them.

Before that particular interview, Michelle was also interviewed by MJ Marfori where the beauty queen debunked rumors that she would be the new national director of Miss Universe Philippines. Early on MJ asked her if she would take on the job if the position was offered to her. Michelle answered in the negative because she believed MUP was already in good hands with Shamcey Supsup-Lee.
