Cecilia Ongpauco, the mother of Heart Evangelista, was able to make it to the day that the fashion icon renewed her wedding vows with her husband, Chiz Escudero.

In a video shared by @bobnicolas, one could see how the socialite walked her daughter down the aisle.

She also said a few sweet words to Heart, denoting how she made it that day.

While it was nine years too late, she made it still.

"So happy for her, and I'm happier because I'm around to witness this," Cecilia stated.

"Finally, I arrived," she told Heart. "Nine years too late, but made it still."

Both Cecilia and Heart became emotional as they walked the aisle together.

One netizen could not help but ask why Heart's father was missing from the event.

This was eventually noticed by the Kapuso star who then replied to the netizen's query

She was born on February 14, 1985, to a Chinese-Filipino father, restaurant mogul Reynaldo Evangelista Ongpauco, and Bicolana Maria Cecilia del Gallego Payawal.
