Kim Chiu could not help but react to her friend Melai Cantiveros’ interview at the 2023 Asia Artists Awards (AAA).

During the event held on December 14 at the Philippine Arena, one of the hosts, Jang Won-young of K-pop girl group IVE, approached Melai and had a quick interview with the comedienne.

The K-pop star asked Melai how she felt about attending the prestigious show.

Melai then responded, “Attending to AAA is a very honor. I feel like I am the first honor, a valedictorian in attending in AAA. The best, prestigious award, I can not believe this happening.”

The Pinay celebrity mom was also asked who among the attendees she wanted to meet the most. Melai then answered that she would like to meet her idol, South Korean actor Kim Seon-ho, and her daughter’s idol, K-pop girl group NewJeans.

In her post on X, formerly Twitter, Kim shared a video of the interview and wrote her honest reaction to it.

“NAG IISA KA MELAI!!!” Kimmy expressed.

Melai Cantiveros is a prominent showbiz personality in the Philippines. She became famous in 2009 after winning "Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up." She also won the first season of the Filipino version of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" in 2015.

Melai, one of the hosts of ‘Ur Da Boss’ on PIE Channel, was nominated as Best Quiz or Game Show Host at the 28th Asian Television Awards. Her co-host Jennica Garcia then turned emotional as she expressed how proud she was of Melai. Melai also shed tears while Jennica was airing her message.
