Melai Cantiveros, one of the hosts of ‘Ur Da Boss’ on PIE Channel, got nominated as Best Quiz or Game Show Host at the 28th Asian Television Awards.
She and her co-host, Jennica Garcia, shared the great news in an episode of ‘Ur Da Boss.’
Jennica then turned emotional as she expressed how proud she was of Melai.

“Naiiyak ako kasi sobrang proud ko kasi sa'yo,” the ‘Dirty Linen’ star said.

“Gusto ko lang sabihin talaga na sobrang proud ko sa'yo talaga, partner, sobra talaga. Sobrang deserve mo 'yung nomination. Tapos kasi siyempre, first time ko rin mapanood 'yung buong 'Ma'am Chief.' Ang galing mo kasi.”
Melai also shed tears while Jennica was airing the message.
Jennica later continued, “Basta sobra talaga akong proud sa'yo. Sobrang masaya ako kasi alam kong marami kang mapapasaya sa movie mo, at saka napakahusay mo talagang artista. Hindi tama na i-box ka as a host kasi talagang bagay na bagay ka talaga sa big screen. We love you so much.”

Melai Cantiveros is a prominent showbiz personality in the Philippines. She became famous in 2009 after winning "Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up." She also won the first season of the Filipino version of "Your Face Sounds Familiar" in 2015.
In a previous report by KAMI, Melai took to Instagram and proudly shared the good news with her fans. She shared the poster of her new movie, "Ma'am Chief," wherein she plays the lead role. It is also the movie, which was shot in Korea, which Melai has been keeping mum about for a long time. In her lengthy post, she thanked everyone who made the film possible and announced that the movie would be shown in cinemas on November 15.

They tackled Melai’s humble childhood, the story behind her successful ‘PBB’ audition, her family, and her “It’s Your Lucky Day” hosting experience, among others. In less than 24 hours after posting, the vlog already garnered over a million views. Luis then took to Instagram Stories and hilariously reacted to the vlog's success.
