Ms Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, in a reply to a query made by a netizen on a social media post, admitted that Michelle Dee is one of her favorites in the recently-concluded Miss Universe beauty pageant 2023.

The beauty queen also revealed Michelle is among the candidates she thought and believed would make it to the Top 5.
The former Ms Universe wrote these statements in the comment section of a post by way of a reply to a netizen who asked her opinion about an alleged deleted post showing Michelle’s name supposedly in the Top 5.
The alleged post has since been supposedly deleted and claimed by some to have been replaced with one showing Ms Thailand’s name on the Top 5 instead of the Philippines’ bet.

Ms Mittenaere, however, said she never saw the alleged deleted post and expressed belief that the judges’ actions were aboveboard.
“I have no idea about a deleted post or something. As judges, everything was fair and legal. But to be honest Michelle was in my top5,” Ms Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere said.
“I loved her style in evening gown and I love her style since I saw her in the Philippines almost 3years ago,” she added.
The beauty queen also lauded Michelle for her flawless performance in the prestigious beauty pageant.
“She didn't do any mistakes, so the Philippines should be very proud of her she is beautiful, kind, classy,” Ms Mittenaere said.
However, she did point out the fact that the standard for the winners this year is very high, adding there are lots of good ones who didn’t make it.
“The level was really high this year, when you see the girls who didn't make it to the top 5, there is a lot of amazing contestants,” she said.
“I know that Michelle is very sweet and please give her a lot of love because she deserves it. She is the perfect representative for the Philippines sweet, kind, true, classy, and hard worker. I hope to see her very soon,” Ms Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere concluded.
