Boy Abunda, in the latest episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, tackled his treasured memories about the late veteran broadcast journalist Mike Enriquez.
The Asia's King of Talk looked back on his friendship with Mike, which started in the early '90s.
"Magkasama po kami ni Mike noong early '90s dito sa GMA-7. Kami ay magkaibigan at nanatiling magkaibigan ng maraming maraming taon."
Tito Boy also revealed that Mike was among the first to know about his return to GMA last year.

"Naalala ko po noong ako'y babalik na dito sa GMA-7, I remember calling Mike and I said, 'I have to tell you that I'm coming back to GMA-7, and what a shame it would be if I don't let you know.'"
"'I would not have forgiven you had you not called me,'" Boy shared, quoting Mike's reply.
Boy went on and recalled some of Mike's pleasing characteristics.
"He was a lovely man. He was a wonderful, wonderful friend."
The Asia’s King of Talk also opened up, "Sabi ko 'Mike, sana kapag nagsimula ang Fast Talk (with Boy Abunda) makabisita ka sa amin.'"
"It was a dream to do an interview with Mike Enriquez. Alam kong hindi natuloy, but he said yes, he would come to the show. Pero alam ko po na hindi na matutuloy, but he will always be in my heart, and he will always be in my mind."

Mike Enriquez, or Miguel Castro Enriquez in real life, was a multi-awarded Pinoy television and radio newscaster. He was the president of GMA Network’s regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and was also the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM. Mike was also a regular anchor on 24 Oras with Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales.
Mel Tiangco could not help but get emotional while reporting Mike’s passing. In the said report, Mel’s voice quavered while presenting GMA Network’s statement on Mike’s demise. Furthermore, Vicky Morales and Emil Sumangil were also seen emotional during the closing spiel on Tuesday's episode of “24 Oras.”
“TV Patrol” anchors Noli De Castro, Bernadette Sembrano, Henry Omaga-Diaz expressed sadness over Mike’s passing. The Kapuso broadcaster has passed away at 71 years old on August 29. Noli, Bernadette and Henry offered their condolences to Mike’s family and loved ones before they delivered their closing spiels. “Kabayan” Noli likewise briefly looked back on his friendship with the late veteran broadcast journalist.
