Bagong ‘Eat Bulaga’ theme song, ini-launch sa 44th anniversary celebration ng noontime show

The hosts of the revamped “Eat Bulaga” unveiled the noontime show’s new theme song on Saturday, July 29.

They launched the new jingle as they celebrated the 44th anniversary of the program.

It was sung by hosts Isko Moreno, Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Mavy Legaspi, Cassy Legaspi, Winwyn Marquez, Chariz Solomon, Dasuri Choi, Yasser Marta, Michael Sager and Kimpoy Feliciano.

"For the first time, in 44 years, sabay-sabay nating maririnig ang bagong kanta na magbubukas ng masayang tanghalian dito sa Eat Bulaga," Yorme Isko said before launching the track.

Paolo also aired, "Siyempre, bago po ito, ang gusto namin fresh lang. Kaya mas pinaganda namin ang kantang ito na mas akma sa bagong panahon at bagong panlasa. Pero ang puso at hangarin ng Eat Bulaga, siyempre, hindi po 'yan mawawala. Kalakip ito ng kanta dahil dahil nilikha ito para inyo. All for you dahil 44 na tayo."

In the upbeat track, the line “Tahanang pinakamasaya, Eat Bulaga” was repeatedly mentioned.

Meanwhile, TAPE Inc. also took to social media to share the music video of the jingle.

"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. Tape Inc.'s "Eat Bulaga" recently went back live on air on GMA with its new lineup of hosts, including Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar and Betong Sumaya.

Isko Moreno and Paolo Contis inked a “long-term” contract with TAPE’s "Eat Bulaga." The contract signing took place on July 8 at APT Studios. TAPE Inc. and Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s executives were present at the contract signing event - Sparkle and Kapuso reporter Nelson Canlas took to its social media pages and shared photos from the event.

Isko, during his "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" guesting, shared with Boy the words of wisdom he gave to the EB team before they aired last July 1. The former Manila City mayor told them to just enjoy the afternoon and be themselves. He also admitted that they felt so much pressure on that day when TVJ’s “E.A.T.” was launched and “It’s Showtime” started airing on GTV.
