Maris Racal expresses support for Awra Briguela amid the Poblacion brawl issue

Maris Racal is among the list of celebrities to show their support for Awra Briguela, who was recently arrested after being involved in a brawl.

KAMI learned that the Kapamilya star expressed her support and love for Awra amid the issue via an Instagram story on her page.

On her Instagram, @mariesteller, the 25-year-old actress posted a selfie she took with Awra before and included a short but sweet caption to it.

In her message, Maris called Awra her "brave little sister" which tugged at the heartstrings of her fans and followers.

"My brave little sister, you don't deserve this. I am right here with you. So many of us are right here with you," she wrote.

Previously, one of Awra's friends took to Instagram to clarify what happened in Poblacion before Awra was arrested.

According to the user @simpforzayla, Awra was simply defending them after some guy allegedly tried to touch them.

Mariestella "Maris" Cañedo Racal, or Maris Racal, is a Filipina actress, singer-songwriter, host, vlogger, and endorser. She became prominent in 2014 after joining "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" where she placed second.

As previously reported by KAMI, Maris Racal recently posted an Instagram reel showing her gymnastics skills. It was taken during the actress-singer's fifth session of training. Many netizens took to the comments section and praised Maris' new skills. On IG Stories, Maris even swooned over one of the moves she learned.

Meanwhile, Maris Racal made netizens laugh after her reaction to a netizen's comment went viral. Previously, the 25-year-old actress posted photos of herself at San Juan Beach in La Union. In the viral photos, Maris sported a casual yet cute outfit while she was at the beach. However, this prompted one netizen to mistake her for Anne Curtis, which Maris noticed.
