TVJ at Dabarkads ng "Eat Bulaga", may bago nang bahay sa TV5

Tito, Vic, and Joey, also known as TVJ, has finally found a new home in TV5 after it parted ways with TAPE Inc. on May 31.

Based on Philstar's report, it is not only TVJ, but also the Dabarkads of the original "Eat Bulaga," which signed an agreement with Mediaquest Group, the PH-based media conglomerate that runs TV5 Network, Cignal TV and more.

According to the report, TV5 will be producing content for TV5, along with other media platforms under its umbrella.

The announcement was made by Mediaquest's President and CEO Jane Basas.

"I'm happy that Tito, Vic, and Joey will now call TV5 their home," she said.

After TVJ parted ways with TAPE Inc., the production company that produced "Eat Bulaga" for a long time, the show aired again on June 5 with new hosts.

As per Rappler, the Legaspi twins, Cassy and Mavy, were also among the new hosts of the show.

Aside from hosting the "new" EB, Paolo also made headlines after Lian Paz revealed that her kids with the actor want to change their surname, as per Inquirer.

"Eat Bulaga" is the longest-running noontime variety program on Philippine television. The show premiered on July 30, 1979. Its pioneer hosts include showbiz icons Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Tito Sotto. "Eat Bulaga" went back live on air with its new lineup of hosts.

In its episode on Monday, Paolo Contis, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Cassy Legaspi, Mavy Legaspi and Alexa Miro were unveiled as the hosts. Meanwhile, multiple trending topics related to the show also landed spots on Twitter.

Dapitan City Mayor Seth Frederick "Bullet" Jalosjos, the finance director of Television and Production Exponents, Inc. (TAPE Inc.), also shared a series of posts about "Eat Bulaga." His posts on Instagram Stories showed behind-the-scenes videos of the program's live episode on Monday. It also showed parts from the said hosts' opening number along with the local girl group XOXO.
