“Yes po, before. Pero ano lang 'yun, 'pag walang representative 'yung probinsya namin. 'Yung, 'Ikaw? Sali ka, sali ka,'” Sanya said.

Her account suggested that joining pageants was not necessarily something she actively pursued. Instead, she would agree to participate when encouraged to step in and represent her province.

“'Yun lang talaga 'yung parang lagi kang napipilit sa probinsya n'yo tapos sabihin mo, 'Sige na nga, wala naman tayong ginagawa.' At saka para at least ma-try mo man lang 'yung iba naman 'yung ma-experience mo du'n sa pageant,” she explained.

While she appreciated the opportunity to participate, the actress made it clear that she did not intend to pursue beauty competitions at the national level. Her involvement was more about representing her province and experiencing a different environment than building a long-term career in pageantry.
