Lolit Solis: “Pagpahid ng cake bilang biro dati ng ginagawa pero ngayon isa ng big issue”

Lolit Solis, in a social media post, has expressed wonder why people nowadays seem to be too sensitive and negative.

She said that many have started to be wary about what to say and how to act in a given situation.

“Nakakatawa talaga ang mga nangyayari sa paligid, Salve. Sobra ng sensitive at negative ang marami kaya hindi mo na alam kung ano ba ang dapat mo ikilos o sabihin,” Manay Lolit said.

The veteran showbiz columnist also said that no matter what one does, there would always be someone who would have a say on how he or she acted or said.

“Para bang kahit ano gawin mo papansinin o kaya pipintasan ng iba,” she added.

Manay Lolit then talked about the smearing of cake icing which used to be a joke but now has become a big issue, wondering if people nowadays have no sense of humor.

“Iyon pagpahid ng cake bilang biro dati ng ginagawa pero ngayon isa ng big issue. Kaya nga hindi mo narin alam kung pati ba humor ng tao nawala na,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.

“Hindi narin kasi kung alin ang ituturing mong biro, o ano ang tutoo,” she added.

Manay Lolit then recalled what comedian and former PBA star Benjie Paras said about jokes becoming a big and serious issue.

“Sabi nga ni Benjie Paras ang hirap daw ngayon dahil hindi mo alam kung paano tatanggapin ng tao ang comedy o baka hindi nila ito gusto at maging issue pa,” she said.

Manay Lolit then said that oftentimes, it’s even the entire cake that is smeared onto the face of a person.

“Like nga ng pagpapahid ng icing ng cake, eh madalas biruan pa nga buong cake ang inilalagay sa mukha,” she said.

“Naku ha, dahil diyan marami na buy ng cake, libre publicity na sila. Hilig pa naman nila Salve at Gorgy ang cake. Kaya nga kahit ipahid sa face nila ok lang, basta masarap ang cake hah hah bongga,” Manay Lolit concluded.

The veteran showbiz columnist did not identify the managers though she indicated that they’re fond of canceling people at press conferences. By using the word “ipokrita” to describe one of the said managers, she hinted that it is a woman. Manay Lolit said that a manager’s jinx even rubbed off her talent, which is why their team is in a quandary on how to improve the image of their star.

She also said in another socmed post that she allegedly felt like she was a victim of “budol” after giving someone P700K. She then quickly summarized what happened at the time, saying that the person she allegedly gave the money to was a “fast talker.” The showbiz columnist then realized that even though she’s already a veteran, such things can still happen to her. Manay Lolit then wondered how the person allegedly convinced her to release P700K.
