Markus Paterson, during the third episode of Rise Artist Studio’s 'Boys After Dark,’ revealed his biggest regret in life.

According to the actor, it was his decision to move to the Philippines and leave his father in the United Kingdom.

“Ako naman, biggest regret ko, it's weird saying this because 'yung buhay ko dito sa Pilipinas ay sobrang blessed ako. With my work, with my job, with my family. But 'yung biggest regret ko talaga, feeling ko, is making the decision to move here in the Philippines. So iniwan ko 'yung tatay ko na matanda na, na mag-isa lang sa UK.”

He then opened up about the professions he used to dream about when he was residing in the UK.

“Du'n talaga 'yung lahat ng pangarap ko na maging piloto, maging military kagaya ng tatay ko. As in never talaga akong nangarap maging artista, mag-aktor, mag-model, mag-singer. Never talaga. As in like wala akong balak talaga lumipat dito.”

“So, like everything happens so fast, so quick. Ta's du'n ko na-pick up lahat ng bisyo ko, lahat ng depression ko. Why would I waste my mental health on something I don't see as beneficial to me?”

Markus further shared that his son with Janella Salvador named Jude is the reason why he’s still staying in the Philippines.

“Kasi right now, if I didn't have Jude, I'd be back in the UK already. I'd be in the Air Force, I'd be in the army. I'd be happy.”

Mark Paul Robert Paterson or simply Markus Paterson is an actor, singer, and host in the Philippines. He is the former boyfriend of Kapamilya actress, Janella Salvador, with whom he has a child named Jude Trevor Paterson.

Previously, Markus Paterson made the rounds on social media because of his fiery statement about dating. He aired the statement during the first episode of ‘Boys After Dark’ on Rise Artists Studio’s YouTube channel. In the said vlog, the actor stressed one lesson he learned about relationships, which is never to date someone in the showbiz industry. He likewise advised young artists and aspiring actors, “'wag kayong mag-date ng ibang babaeng artista."

Markus then reacted to the criticisms he received due to his earlier statement. Markus said he would stand by what he said and urged his detractors, "huwag kayong mag-assume."
