Jose Mari Chan, on the first day of September, surprised and serenaded the shoppers of a furniture store in Pasay City.

On their social media accounts, IKEA Philippines shared a video of the Filipino crooner wandering around the store while singing.

He sang one of his hit Yuletide songs, “Do You Hear What I Hear.”

The shoppers then became stunned and elated when they saw Jose Mari unexpectedly.

“It is now September and you know what that means, Pasko na!” he said.

He continued, “This is Jose Mari Chan welcoming you all to the start of the Filipino holidays.”

Jose Mari Chan cried while rehearsing at the backstage of "Unang Hirit" where he’s going to sing live his iconic song, Christmas In Our Hearts. It was the show’s host, Arnold Clavio, who first mentioned that the crooner became emotional and cried while rehearsing before going on stage. The Pinoy Christmas King said that he did become emotional because, after 32 years, he felt once again the message that the song was trying to impart.
