Cristy Fermin, in the latest episode of Cristy Ferminute, came to Ella Cruz’s defense after the latter drew flak because of her trending “history is like tsismis” statement.

During the said radio program, Cristy said she sees nothing wrong with the actress’ remark.
“Alam mo, Romel, wala akong nakikitang masama dito. Ginagamit ko nga 'yan e pagka New Year's resolution. 'Ano ang New Year's resolution mo?' 'Ay naku, it's like history, it repeats itself,” Cristy told her co-host, Romel Chika.
The veteran showbiz columnist then went on to analyze Ella’s statement.
“Ang ganda naman ng pagkasabi ni Ella, 'di ba? Minsan may tinatanggal, minsan may idinadagdag at depende po sa pananaw ng nagbibigay ng interpretasyon kung may bias o wala.”
Furthermore, Romel aired his honest thoughts on the much-talked-about remark.
He said, "Opo, Nay. At saka ang tao naman ang nagbigay ng meaning. Hindi nila naunawaan 'yung post na 'history is like tsismis.' Hindi naman 'history is tsismis,' iba naman 'yon."
