Rabiya Mateo, in an interview shared by a segment on GMA7’s 24 Oras, revealed she doesn’t mind being called ambitious.

The beauty queen and actress said calling her ambitious wouldn’t insult her.
“If there’s one word to describe me na never ako maiinsulto, iyon iyong pagiging ambisyosa,” Rabiya said.
She then proceeded to explain why being called ambitious is okay with her.
“It would drive me to do better and better in life,” Rabiya explained.
The beauty queen also talked about her academic goals and business.
Rabiya recently launched her beauty business venture, which is a first for her.
According to the GMA report, Rabiya said that she wanted her business to flourish.
In the same report, the beauty queen also revealed she planned to pursue a doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
As for her advice to fans and followers, she said it is very important to have a college degree because whatever happens, one could always use it when the need arises.
“Iba ’pag may diploma ka eh. Parang secured ka na sa buhay mo kahit saan ka man isalang,” Rabiya declared.
Rabiya Occeña Mateo is a Filipina-Indian model and is the reigning Miss Universe Philippines. The beauty queen represented the Philippines in the 69th Miss Universe pageant held on May 16, 2021, in Florida, USA. She concluded her journey in the prestigious pageant in the top 21.
Recently, Rabiya sent shockwaves in the entertainment world when she and boyfriend Jeric Gonzales have unfollowed each other on Instagram. This fueled speculations as to what happened. All photos of Jeric and Rabiya together also vanished on the beauty queen’s social media page, including one that declared she has gone “official” with the actor. The beauty queen also made a cryptic post that talks about “putting up with what she didn’t deserve,” though she denied rumors it’s about her relationship with Jeric.
A week before they unfollowed each other, Rabiya and Jeric posted a sweet clip together on social media. The beauty queen took to her Instagram stories to share the clip taken during their recent romantic late-night date. The former Miss Universe Philippines title-holder posted the said short video amid Jeric’s viral photos with an alleged “male lover.” His photos, however, turned out to be from the actor’s indie film in 2020.
