Pokwang, in a Twitter post, once again reiterated that she doesn’t get any payment from the campaign of VP Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.

The popular comedienne said her work with the campaign and her performances in rallies are free and purely voluntary.

She said that she opted to do this because she believes that the intentions of the Team Leni-Kiko is pure and besides, she feels her heart becoming light with what she’s doing.

“Kaya sa libre nalang ako at boluntaryo kasi alam mong malinis ang hangarin at maluwag sa puso kong ginawa,” Pokwang said.

The comedienne then reminded everyone to be on guard against politicians who pay artists to perform in campaign rallies.

She said such politicians might just get a return on their investment through the sweat of ordinary citizens.

“Tandaan nyo lahat ng binayad ng kandidato nyo sa mga artistang yan ay babawiin din yan sa sarili nyong pawis!ano uto?” the comedienne said.

Pokwang then asked netizens a general question on their opinion whether the politician would just release a huge amount of money without something in return.

Pokwang is among the most well-loved comediennes in the industry. Her frank and motherly ways are always "patok" among Filipinos. She used to be with ABS-CBN but moved to GMA during the pandemic.

Pokwang took to Twitter and slammed a netizen who bashed her daughter, Malia. The comedienne, in her tweet said that trolls will be attacking them because they would not want the truth to win. She then posted a screenshot of the tweet of the basher and noted that the basher was a nurse. Pokwang then told the basher that she will see her in court for bullying an innocent child.

Pokwang happily shared on social media her experience in their house-to-house campaign in Antipolo. The comedienne joined other celebrities and volunteers in talking to people about the Team Leni-Kiko tandem. She revealed that they did house to house campaign and said that the people accepted them as who they are. The comedienne also revealed that she felt that it is only on social media where people are angry at them but in real life, they are very much accepted.
