Jake Zyrus’s camp has requested everyone to allow him to mourn the death of his uncle and grandmother in private.

In a report by PUSH, the singer’s camp released a to ABS-CBN through his talent manager, Carl Cabral, indicating he wants to mourn in private.
Part of the statement noted that this time is a heartbreaking one for the family.
“This is a heartbreaking time for the family and those who love them dearly,” the statement reads.

It also asked everyone to just help the bereaved mourn in private.
“Let us help the bereaved to mourn privately,” it further read.
“We greatly appreciate your sincere sympathy during this time of grief and loss,” said in the statement.
It wasn’t clear if the statement was really from Jake himself or was issued by his camp on his behalf.
Earlier, Jake’s mother, Raquel Pempengco, asked help from the singer after her mother and brother died.
The relationship of Raquel and her son has been estranged for some time.
In a recent news update by PEP, Raquel claims she has not read the statement released by Jake's camp.
In a Star Cinema.ABS-CBN report, the mom of Raquel has reached out to Jake after the singer's grandmother and uncle died.
Jake Zyrus is a well-known singer and songwriter in the Philippines. He is previously known as Charice Pempengco, the girl who made international TV appearances because of her singing prowess.
Very recently, in an exclusive interview with PEP, Jake's mom, Raquel, revealed she has reached out to Jake and sought the latter's help. She said that she contacted Jake from the time that her mom, Jake's grandmother Tess Pineda, died. Days after her mother passed, her brother also died, and despite that, Jake has not reached out. She also hoped that Jake would help her because she cannot do it all alone, her whole family is dependent on her.
A month before, Morly Alinio, in veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin's new show 'Showbiz Now Na', revealed that Raquel has, once again, threw out of the house the now-deceased Tess Pineda. This was after they settled their differences in Tulfo's program. Manay Cristy even expressed sadness at what happened to 'Lola Tessie,' particularly since she was the constant companion of Jake before when he was joining singing competitions when he was still a child.
