Ruffa Gutierrez took to Instagram to commemorate the annulment of her wedding with her ex-husband and Turkish businessman, Yilmaz Bektas.

The two tied the knot on May 25, 2003 in an elaborate and grand Christian wedding in Manila.
They wed again two months after in Istanbul, this time under Muslim rites.
Four years and two daughters later, however, the couple separated, with Ruffa filing for annulment of marriage citing cultural differences.

Their annulment was granted a couple more years after their separation.
“On this day, ten years ago my annulment was granted. Thank you Facebook memories for making me remember,” Ruffa posted on her IG account.
She also said that what happened was a bittersweet journey for her.
“What a bittersweet journey it has been,” the actress and beauty queen said.
Ruffa then indicated that she had no regrets and she valued the lessons she has learned from her experience.
“I now realize that not everyone is going to stay forever but I still have to keep on going and thank them for the life lessons that made me the woman I am today. No regrets, just love,” Ruffa wrote.
Yilmas and Ruffa have two daughters, Lorin, who is now 17, and Venice, who is 16 years old.
Sharmaine Ruffa Rama Gutierrez is a beauty queen, actress, and model from the Philippines. She is the daughter of celebrities Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama. She was the second runner-up in Miss World 1993 pageant. She has two children, Lorin Gabriella and Venezia Loran with her former husband, Yilmaz Bektas.
Recently, Ruffa posted a new picture on her official Instagram account. In her online post, netizens were stunned to see Ruffa with senatorial aspirant, Antonio Trillanes IV. According to the actress-host, the former Navy officer "dropped everything" and even moved his appointments to meet her. Needless to say, Ruffa's post elicited tons of reactions and comments from netizens and celebrities alike.
Later on, however, the actress and beauty queen took down her post of her photo-op with Sen. Trillanes on Instagram. She also took time to explain why she took down the post.
