In his latest Showbiz Update, Ogie and Mama Loi tackled about a claim that Direk Bobet Vidanes might be one of the reasons why Ion did not get the permission to do the proposal.

"Pero, Nay, may nabasa akong comment, tungkol du'n sa item na 'yon. May isang netizen na nagsabi na nu'ng Feb. 2020, 'di ba daw si Direk Bobet Vidanes pa 'yung direktor nu'n? Siya daw kaya 'yung hindi pumayag?" Mama Loi told Ogie.

To which Ogie reacted, “Ang hirap namang sabihin na si Direk Bobet na 'yung may kinalaman kung bakit hindi natuloy 'yung proposal ni Ion kay Vice Ganda sa 'It's Showtime'.”

“Feeling ko ano rin e, parang maganda na din na 'yun 'yung naganap,” the talent manager aired.
"Oo nga. Actually, Nay, 'di ba? At least nagkatotoo 'yung sinabi ni Meme Vice na hindi na nababoy, 'yun 'yung term niya 'di ba, 'yung something na napakaganda para sa kanila. Kung baka parang hindi nila nabigyan ng pagkakataon 'yung mga bashers na sirain," said Mama Loi.

“Kasi kung noon 'yan lumabas at pinayagan si Ion, wala namang kwento ngayon si Vice,” Ogie added.
