Ogie Diaz has recently invited Filipino singer, Arnel Pineda over on his YouTube channel for a much-needed interview about his life and career.

In the viral video, KAMI learned that Arnel opened up about the time in his life when he asked his partner, Cherry to break up with him.

According to Arnel, it was due to his embarrassment over himself because of his vices back in the day and how Cherry would still take care of him.

During the interview, Arnel recalled how Cherry once picked him up after her work, not being able to bring himself home after a couple of drinks.

"Dumating sa point na sobrang hiya ko sa kanya. Minsan sinundo niya ako, meron akong recording session sa may Bicutan, sabog na sabog ako, lasing na lasing ako tas nakita ko siya. Alam mo yung galing siya sa trabaho, pagod na pagod siya tapos susunduin pa niya ako dahil sobrang lasing ako na hindi ko na kayang umuwi."

According to Arnel, he realized his mistakes there and then and asked Cherry to break up with him while they were in the taxi.

"Na-realize ko, 'Grabe 'tong ginagawa ko. Ang kapal ng mukha ko.' Sabi ko, 'Paulit-ulit ako sa ginagawa ko eh itong babaeng 'to seryoso sa akin,'" he said.

Despite this, Cherry still chose to be with him which eventually helped him change for the better and become the man that he is today.
