Robert Hong, the caretaker of the mango tree that became controversial because of Lolo Narding, has surfaced and was interviewed by GMA News "24 Oras."

He emphasized that it was not actually 10-kilos but it was 10-kaings. The latter denotes so much more than the 10-kilos.

Robert also said that he was also surprised when the arrest warrant for the octogenarian came out because they said that they withdrew the case as they have already been to the barangay thrice.

He also noted that it was not Lolo Narding who planted the tree, contrary to the initial reports.

It can be recalled that the arrest of Lolo Narding created so much buzz on social media, primarily due to his age and the subject of the alleged theft, which was the "10 kilos of mango."

Lolo Narding has already returned home after his P6,000 bail was paid by kindhearted souls.
