A woman named Jang Lucero was found dead inside her car in Calamba, Laguna, according to a report by Darlene Cay for the GMA News program, “Unang Balita.”
Lucero, 34, sidelined as a driver who transports passengers with her vehicle after she lost her job amid the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. The victim’s body had multiple stab wounds when it was found.
Authorities have not yet found out the motive for the killing but are actively investigating the case.

Her mother, Angela Lucero, told “Unang Balita” about the pain she feels for losing her daughter.
"Ang sakit... yung mga alaala naming dalawa [kapag] maalala ko, masakit," the victim’s mother said.

Lucero’s girlfriend, Meyah Amatorio, revealed that the victim told her last Sunday that she would be transporting three passengers from Laguna to Gil Puyat, Manila.
When she could not contact Lucero anymore on her cellphone hours later, she decided to seek the police’s help. She added that she is not aware of any feud or conflict involving her girlfriend.
