Aiko Melendez flaunts new hair color in viral posts: "Going black this 2022"

Aiko Melendez, 46, has recently been trending on social media after she flaunted her stunning new look for the year 2022.

On her Instagram account, @aikomelendez, KAMI learned that the actress went to Headway Vera Salon for a much-needed hair session.

In a series of online stories, the Kapuso star gave her fans and supporters a glimpse into the hair session she was receiving at the salon.

Netizens were then stunned upon seeing the actress sport a shorter hairstyle as well as a black hair color that certainly complimented her features.

"Going black this 2022," Aiko wrote in one of her selfies as she showed a fierce yet stunning look for the camera, sporting a denim jacket and a pair of black glasses.

Previously, Aiko has been sporting a light brown hair color but decided it was time for a "new year, new me" kind of makeover.

Likewise, the salon also posted selfies of the actress on their account.

Aiko Melendez is a popular showbiz personality in the Philippines. In 2018, she won the Best Supporting Actress award for the movie, “Rainbow’s Sunset.” In 2001, Aiko ran for councilor in the city elections in Quezon City and won. She became Councilor of the 2nd District of Quezon City and remained in office for 9 years until 2010.

Amid the elections, Aiko has been actively doing her campaigns in Quezon City. During her campaign in Brgy. Capri, the actress was given a birthday cake which stunned her. The actress visibly turned emotional in the viral video as she wiped away her tears.
