Aiko Melendez, dismayado kay Poblacion Girl: “Dahil sa kagustuhan mag-party tumaas na naman ang me COVID”

- Aiko Melendez was unable to hide her disgust at the woman referred to as ‘Poblacion Girl’ due to her being seen partying in a bar at Barangay Poblacion in Makati City

- The woman is supposed to be under quarantine at a hotel after coming home from the United States

- Apparently, she was able to slip out from the quarantine facility and attend a party last December 27

- She tested positive for the virus on December 29, along with some of those she was in contact with at the party

Aiko Melendez did not mince words when addressing the issue about the woman referred by the media as ‘Poblacion Girl.’

The woman was called as such after being seen partying in a bar at Barangay Poblacion in Makati City.

She was supposed to be still under quarantine at a hotel after arriving from the US.

It appeared that she was able to slip out from the hotel and attend a party last December 27.

Two days after, she tested positive for coronavirus, along with several others whom she partied with in the said bar.

On December 31, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) declared Metro Manila will once again be under Alert Level 3 due to rising cases of COVID infection.

In her post on IG, Aiko vented her ire at Poblacion Girl.

“Poblacion Girl – Happy New Year??? “Today Alert 3 tayo uli… habang ang majority ng tao sinusunod talaga ang lahat ng protocols. Meron pa din talaga ang iilan na nakakagulat they claim na me connections sa hotel? Government? Parang nakakahiya naman to,” Aiko wrote in her post.

She then said there are those who keep on roaming around unmindful of other people.

“For some ikot ng ikot lang wala pakialam basta maka-ikot. ‘Wag n’yo antayin na lahat ng actions n’yo tapos ang balik ang di n’yo kakayanin,” the actress said in her post.

Aiko then reminded everyone to keep in check their eagerness to party.

“So reminder naman sa mga tao pigilin n’yo muna ‘yung eagerness n’yo gumimik kasi makaka-antay naman ‘yan tamo ‘tong Poblacion Girl dahil sa kagustuhan mag-party party tumaas na naman ang me COVID,” Aiko wrote in her post.

The government has been on the lookout for the possible entry of the more contagious ‘Omicron’ variant of the coronavirus.

Mary Aiko Shimoji Melendez, better known as Aiko Melendez, is a Pinay actress, model, and politician. She was born on December 16, 1975 to actor Jimi Melendez, real name Jim Shinoji, and Elsie Castañeda, now Blardony. Aiko first entered showbiz as a child star in the 80’s under Regal Films. The actress also took to social media recently to share a video clip of the surprise she received from the people of Brgy. Capri. Amid the elections, Aiko has been actively doing her campaigns in Quezon City. During her campaign in Brgy. Capri, the actress was given a birthday cake which stunned her. The actress visibly turned emotional in the viral video as she wiped away her tears.

She previously stirred buzz on social media after giving a shoutout to one of her supporters in Quezon City. According to Aiko, she could not help but admire her supporter’s creativity in expressing their love for her. On Instagram, the Kapuso actress uploaded a picture of a man holding up a handmade sign. It can be worth pointing out that Aiko previously cried foul over the people taking down her tarpaulins in the area.
