Lolit Solis recently took to social media to laud Marian Rivera and Rappler CEO Maria Ressa.

This, after Rivera was chosen to judge the 70th Miss Universe in Israel while Ressa received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo.
“Dalawa babae now ang nasa news na filipina kaya ang sarap ng feeling Salve. Una si Marian Rivera sa Ms Universe, at now si Maria Ressa sa Nobel Prize niya sa Oslo. Bongga na namamayani sa international news ang dalawa natin kababayan.”
According to Manay Lolit, the two personalities’ achievements prove that Filipinas really have the traits that the country could be proud of.

“Katibayan na ang mga kababaihan sa Pilipinas talagang maipagmamalaki. Sa ganda at talino, pareho tayong pinag uusapan ngayon. Miss Universe at Nobel Prize bongga ha. Itaas ang bandera,” the veteran entertainment columnist said.
