AJ Raval on why she went on a social media detox: “Sobrang toxic na”

AJ Raval opened up about her social media detox during a recent mediacon for her new movie “Crush Kong Curly”.

According to AJ, she withdrew from social media because it became too toxic for her and she suffered from mental breakdowns because of it.

The actress was heavily bashed after she was accused of causing Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla’s breakup. She was also accused of being a third party in Diego Loyzaga and Barbie Imperial’s relationship. All parties involved have denied these rumors against AJ.

AJ said that during her social media detox, she was able to achieve more because she was able to focus on more important things.

Some of her achievements include moving into a new house and buying a new car. Jeric Raval’s daughter added that she wants to grow as a person and improve her character. She also clarified that the recent posts on her social media accounts were done by an admin.

“Siguro dahil sobrang toxic na ng social media para sa akin. Siyempre ayoko na magpa-apekto dun. Honestly, at first nag-me-mental breakdown ako. Dahil triny naman namin i-explain or triny naman akong protektahan ng mga taga-kabila.

“Pero hindi pa rin maintindihan ng mga tao. Ang dami kong na-ri-receive na mga kung anu-ano. May mga death threat pa, may mga galit na galit sa akin. Nag-detox na lang ako kasi nakakasira talaga ng mental health yung social media…

“Ang dami kong nagawa ever since nag-social media (detox) ako. Nilibang ko yung sarili ko, lumipat ako ng bagong bahay, nakabili ako ng bagong sasakyan. parang yung negative na nangyayari, ginawa ko siyang positive. Parang gusto ko din mag-improve sa sarili ko. Gusto ko rin mag-grow,” AJ said.

AJ Raval is an actress, social media star, and YouTube vlogger in the Philippines. She is the daughter of veteran actor and action star Jeric Raval. The actress recently appeared in the movie, “Death of a Girlfriend,” with Diego Loyzaga. She revealed months ago that actor Aljur Abrenica is courting her.
