During an appearance on the digital talk show Kalurks, Candy weighed in on the buzz surrounding Patrick Garcia’s recent controversial interview about his past with Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado.
Speaking from personal experience as a mother raising a neurodivergent child, Candy offered a perspective rooted in empathy and discretion:

Candy explained that resolving issues away from the cameras could have created genuine space for healing across all parties involved:
According to Candy, taking the private path prevents unnecessary public noise and allows families to build trust without external judgment.
Above all, Candy reminded everyone that Jennylyn's firstborn, Jazz, should remain the primary focus of care and consideration:
"Si Jazz is a child. Jazz is a neurodivergent and will always be a child. He would have all the chance to be a friend to this child. Give himself a chance to be a friend to this child of his."
Candy's measured words struck a chord with viewers, earning praise across online entertainment channels for addressing the sensitive topic with grace, maturity, and maternal wisdom.
