He stayed off the grid and only issued a statement on social media after falling victim to a vicious ‘death hoax’ that declared him dead even if he’s alive and well.

Kabayan was also subjected to other rumors like he is allegedly set to transfer to TV5.

On October 4, he posted a video of him on a beach with the caption that he would be returning to his program on Monday.

“Salamat po, sa kaunting pagkakataon na ma-enjoy ko ang beach, bago bumalik muli sa Teleradyo sa Lunes, kita kits kabayan,” Kabayan Noli said.

Though the best confirmation would be his impending return on Monday.

Noli de Castro is one of the most seasoned broadcasters in the Philippines. He also served as the Vice President of the country during the term of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

On October 7, Kabayan Noli bid ABS-CBN goodbye as he is set to run for senator in the 2022 elections. On the same day, he also revealed that it would be his last day on Teleradyo, for the program "Kabayan."

Several days ago, after announcing his withdrawal from the 2022 elections, Kabayan Noli became a victim of a ‘death hoax’ when news of his alleged demise spread on social media. Many were led to believe in the fake news because of the inclusion of the name of Ted Failon, making it appear that he broke the news about the death of the former vice president. The news about the alleged death was so widespread on the Internet that Kabayan’s daughter, Kat de Castro, had to issue a statement debunking the news as fake. The following day, a new post of Kabayan’s koi pond along with the caption greeting everyone was posted on what appeared to be Noli’s IG account.
