GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes has expressed her support for Kapuso actor Alden Richards amid the recent controversy surrounding him following the viral accusations made against him.

In a video shared by Dondon Sermino on YouTube, the GMA executive spoke about the network's support for Alden and explained why she believes the actor's accomplishments and character speak for themselves.
Annette also questioned whether the allegations deserved further attention, pointing to the source of the accusations.
She said, "Nandito kami to support him, kasi parang hindi na dapat dinidignify yung mga ganon, kasi alam naman natin yung source, di ba? Parang, nagtatago na nga, wala na nga dito."

She then emphasized that Alden's achievements throughout his career are enough to show the kind of person he is. The executive also expressed confidence in the actor, saying that those who know him personally can attest to his character.
"I think yong mga nagawa na ni Alden, at saka kung ano naachieve niya until now, speaks for themselves, parang speaks for itself."
Annette further assured Alden that the people who have known him since the beginning of his career continue to stand by him. She described him as a kind and generous person, adding that many people are aware of his good deeds even if he does not publicly talk about them.
"Alden, you know that we are here for you at kilala ka namin. At alam namin kung gaano ka kabuti na talagang simula simula, ang buti buti mo at hanggang ngayon, and you're very generous. Alam yan ng marami, pero hindi mo lang kasi sinasabi, so kami na ang nagsasabi na we will vouch for you."
Alden Richards is a well-known Filipino actor, television host, and commercial model who gained widespread recognition after his breakthrough role in GMA Network’s 2011 series Alakdana. Often referred to as “Asia’s Multimedia Star,” he has become one of the country’s prominent entertainment personalities and has appeared in major television productions and successful films, including the 2019 blockbuster Hello, Love, Goodbye.
