During an episode of the talk program Kalurks, Ashley and her co-hosts addressed the ongoing investigation conducted by the NBI following a widely criticized, since-deleted episode where podcast personalities made offensive remarks at Josh Aquino, the eldest child of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino.
Out of the five hosts summoned by authorities, only Daniel Vivar presented himself at the NBI headquarters, while fellow hosts Makoy Pare, RJ Carbonell, and Tito P did not appear.
Reacting to reports that some parties cited personal health concerns for their absence, Ashley firmly criticized using wellbeing as a convenient shield against accountability or due process:

"Bakit ganun? Biglang ngayon, ginagamit niyo yung mental health. Not that I'm invalidating yung paggamit ng mental health kasi lahat naman tayo may pinagdadaanan, but don't use that as an excuse na iwasan ang pagiging accountable."
Ashley underscored the stark difference between how bold commentators often act online versus how they respond once formal legal consequences begin to unfold after airing said remarks:
"Kasi ang tapang niyo sa mga sinasabi niyo, ngayon naman ayaw niyong magpakita. Diba, parang, bakit ganun?"
Her co-hosts concurred, noting statements from lawmakers such as JD Castro, who asserted that mental health claims must not serve as a convenient loophole to evade accountability under the law.
Viewers praised Ashley for speaking directly on the issue, echoing her reminder that online freedom of speech carries real-world responsibility—especially when vulnerable individuals are involved.
