In a report by PUSH / ABS-CBN News, Iñigo opened up about his friendship with Mikha and explained why he was particularly grateful that she agreed to appear in the project.

According to Iñigo, he and Mikha already share a circle of friends, giving them an opportunity to spend time together outside of their professional commitments. He also noted that Mikha sometimes spends time with their group in Batangas.

“We also have the same circle of friends. She hangs out with us in Batangas and we have the same group of friends and the fact that how kind and generous she is in everything, I’m glad that she is nice enough to really do it,” he said.

For Iñigo, Mikha’s willingness to participate was especially meaningful because BINI has become one of the busiest and most in-demand groups in the Philippine entertainment industry.

The singer and actor said that getting even a single day from members of BINI can be difficult because of their packed schedules. Despite that, Mikha readily agreed when he approached her about appearing in his music video.

“She’s one of the boys, one of the kindest and one of the genuine people I ever met. The moment I asked her if she could do this music video with me, no questions, she was so game. BINI is super busy. It’s hard to ask for a single day of work with them but the fact that she is willing to put in some hours for this music video, this goes to show how kind and caring she is as a friend,” he said.

Mikha, for her part, also spoke positively about their experience working together.

The BINI star said their interaction during the shoot felt effortless because they already had an established friendship and shared sense of humor.

“It was so natural. I feel like kasi na we have a natural banter with each other. Mayroon kaming mga inside jokes na nagpapatawa lang kami.”

Their friendship and existing connection also appear to have helped create the chemistry needed for the music video. With Iñigo praising Mikha’s personality and Mikha pointing to their easy banter, their collaboration became an opportunity to bring their real-life familiarity into the project.

The music video comes as Iñigo continues to release music and build his career as a singer and performer. Meanwhile, Mikha remains heavily involved in BINI’s activities as the group continues its rapid rise in the P-pop scene.

The collaboration also comes amid public interest in Iñigo’s personal life.

Weeks before the report about his collaboration with Mikha, Iñigo became the subject of fresh romance speculation after Cassy Legaspi shared several photos of the two on her Instagram Story, according to the Manila Bulletin.

The photos showed Cassy and Iñigo posing closely together as they celebrated Iñigo’s birthday. Their comfortable and affectionate-looking poses quickly attracted attention from social media users.

Cassy accompanied the series of photos with the message, “no decent photos cause that’s just how we are,” while also tagging Iñigo in the post.

The social media update prompted renewed curiosity among fans about the nature of their relationship. However, the photos and accompanying message alone did not establish the status of any romantic relationship between the two.

His collaboration with Mikha, however, is grounded in their friendship and shared circle, with both artists emphasizing how comfortable they are around each other.

BINI is an eight-member Filipino girl group created through ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy. Its members are Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena. The group first made its introduction to the public in November 2020 with the pre-debut track “Da Coconut Nut,” which marked the beginning of its journey toward becoming one of the most recognized acts in the P-pop movement. From that early release, BINI steadily developed its identity and audience as it continued producing music and performing both locally and internationally.

Mikha Lim is a Filipino performer who works as a singer, rapper and dancer and holds the roles of main rapper and visual in BINI. Her distinctive vocals, strong stage presence and performance style have contributed to the group’s growing popularity beyond the Philippines. Mikha has been part of BINI’s rise through major songs such as “Pantropiko” and “Salamin, Salamin,” which helped establish the group as a significant force in the expanding P-pop industry and introduced its music to an increasingly global audience.

As previously reported by KAMI, Mikha Lim expanded her activities beyond music and entertainment after launching her own activewear label, MILI Club. The brand introduced its first collection under the name First Form, with the line built around themes of movement, purpose, lifestyle and inspiration. The initial offerings include performance separates as well as everyday basics, outerwear, trousers and accessories. MILI Club also announced that First Form would be released in limited quantities, with items carrying prices between ₱599 and ₱5,299.

Earlier, Mikha Lim expressed concerns about the proposed Pax Silica industrial hub in the Philippines. The BINI member questioned whether the technological developments and artificial intelligence-related advancements associated with the proposed project would justify possible consequences for the environment and surrounding communities. Her remarks reflected her concern about weighing technological progress against its potential effects on people and the environment.
