Rabiya Mateo is giving her followers a closer look at what life is like for her now that she is pursuing medicine.

In an Instagram Reel, the beauty queen shared a short update about the different experiences that come with being a medical student.

“Learning, struggling, growing… repeat.” she wrote in the caption.

The simple message reflected both the challenges and progress she has been experiencing while working toward her longtime goal.

The video also carried the text, “One page closer to the life I want,” suggesting that every study session is another small step toward the future she has been working for.

Rabiya also told her followers that she plans to share more about this part of her life.

“More medical student content videos coming” she added.

Her latest post comes weeks after she officially started her medical studies at the University of Santo Tomas.

Rabiya entered the university's Faculty of Medicine and Surgery as a freshman in August 2026. Photos shared by UST student publications also showed her joining fellow students during the university's welcoming activities.

During her first day at the university, the former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder said she was excited about returning to school while also recognizing that medicine would not be easy.

“I am so happy. Today is our ROARientation and I feel like a kid again. I’m excited to learn pero aware din ako na hindi siya madali,” she said at the time.

Her journey toward medical school became official earlier this year after she received her acceptance letter from UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.

Rabiya previously described UST as her dream school and said becoming a doctor has been something she has wanted for a long time. She also shared that she hoped to use what she learns to help other people. Philstar Life

Before joining showbiz and pageantry, Rabiya earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy degree from Iloilo Doctors' College in 2018 and graduated cum laude. Philstar

She later became Miss Universe Philippines 2020 and represented the country at the Miss Universe competition before pursuing acting, hosting, and other entertainment projects.

Now, her recent posts show a different side of her daily routine, one focused on studying and adjusting to the demands of medical school.

Meanwhile, Jake Cuenca shared that he has been living alcohol-free for the past six years after making a major change in his lifestyle. The actor admitted there was a time when partying and nightlife took priority over his career. He also recalled that a past controversy involving a police chase became the turning point that pushed him to rebuild his life.
