Angelie "Lie" Reposposa firmly defended the success she built for herself after receiving a negative comment about her relationship.

In a Facebook post, Lie shared a photo with her partner together with a screenshot of the remark. The commenter claimed that she did not become financially successful through hard work and suggested that it was because she had a foreign partner.

Rather than ignore it, the singer and content creator addressed the mindset behind the message.

“Nakakaawa na hanggang ngayon, may ganitong klaseng crab mentality pa rin,” she wrote.

The former PBB housemate explained that she works every day to support the people who depend on her. She made it clear that being in a relationship does not erase her years of effort or her role as the provider for her family.

“Being a breadwinner means grinding every single day to provide for my family. Kung nakahanap man ako ng partner na swak sa akin at nagmamahal nang totoo, bonus na lang yun sa buhay ko,” Lie said.

For the young star, having someone who loves and understands her is an added blessing. It is not the reason behind the things she has managed to achieve.

“My success is built on my own hustle, not my relationship status. Let’s stop invalidating a woman’s independent success just because of who she loves,” she added.

Her message focused on how women’s accomplishments can sometimes be unfairly credited to their romantic partners. Lie stressed that her relationship should not be used to dismiss the work she has put into her career and responsibilities.

In a separate reply in the comments, the multimedia personality kept her answer light while repeating the same point.

“Mabait yong belleviks ko pero hindi ako pala asa ate koh hahahahaha,” she wrote.

Despite the playful tone, her response again showed that she did not agree with the suggestion that she relies on her partner for her needs.

This was not the first time Lie discussed the pressure of being a breadwinner. In an earlier social media post, she admitted that carrying the responsibility could be exhausting, especially when family members continued to expect more from her.

“As a breadwinner, it’s really tiring. At first, I just wanted to help,” she said at the time.

Her journey in entertainment has allowed her to build an audience across television and social media.
