Kuya Kim Atienza recently responded to a netizen who asked about the final resting place of his late daughter, Emman Atienza, and used the opportunity to encourage visitors to remember her through prayers for kindness and mental health.

The exchange began when a netizen shared a funny conversation she had with her daughter. According to the netizen, her daughter had asked where “Emman” was buried.

The mother initially became confused because she knew several people named Emman. Her daughter then clarified that she was referring to Emman, the daughter of “Tito Kim,” whom she remembered through Kuya Kim’s well-known catchphrase, “ang buhay ay weather-weather lang.”

The amusing mix-up prompted the netizen to joke that Kuya Kim had seemingly received an upgrade in title, from “Kuya Kim” to “Tito Kim.”

The post eventually reached Kuya Kim, who responded by providing the location of Emman’s grave.

“She is in the national shrine of the sacred heart in Makati,” he said.

Rather than simply giving the location, however, Kuya Kim added a meaningful request for anyone who chooses to visit his daughter’s final resting place.

“Light a candle and say a prayer for kindness and mental health,” he wrote.

His response transformed what began as a lighthearted social media exchange into a touching reminder of Emman’s life and the advocacy that her family has continued to carry following her death.

Emman, whose full name was Emmanuelle Atienza, passed away in 2025 at the age of 19. Following the loss, Kuya Kim and his family spoke publicly about the mental health struggles she had experienced.
