'Goblin' star Kim Go Eun will be Lee Min Ho’s new leading lady

Production company Hwa&Dam recently announced that “Goblin” leading actress Kim Go Eun will be starring alongside South Korean heartthrob Lee Min Ho in a new fantasy drama.
The series, which is titled “The King: The Eternal Monarch” is also said to be written by Kim Eun Sook, the same screenwriter for “Goblin.”
The fantasy romance drama will revolve around the two parallel universes of the Empire of Korea, which is set in the past, and the Republic of Korea, which will be set in the present time.
Because of this, Kim Go Eun will also be playing two different roles for the two settings.
According to a reliable source from the production company:
“‘The King: The Eternal Monarch’ will be a fantasy romance drama that goes between two parallel universes of the Republic of Korea and the Empire of Korea. Kim Go Eun will take on two different roles, as detective Jung Tae Eul in the Republic of Korea and the criminal Luna in the Empire of Korea.”
Based on reports, the series will start filming during the second half of this year and will air on television in 2020.

Kim Go Eun is a South Korean actress who rose to fame in her film debut, "The Muse." Because of her role in the film, she was able to bag several awards, including Best New Actress award. Kim Go Eun also starred in other series such as "Cheese in the Trap" and "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God" or better known as "Goblin."
