Rita Daniela is mourning the passing of her former Sugarpop groupmate Vanessa Blanca Rangadhol, who died at the age of 30.

Vanessa and Rita were both part of QTV’s singing competition “Pop Star Kids” in 2005. They later became members of Sugarpop alongside Julie Anne San Jose, Pocholo Bismonte, and Renzo Almario.

On Instagram Stories, Rita shared the announcement from Vanessa’s family informing the public of her death.

Aside from reposting the bereaved family’s announcement, Rita also shared a series of Stories remembering Vanessa through music. In one post, she featured Sugarpop’s song “You Lift Me Up” and praised her former groupmate’s singing voice.
