In a Facebook post, the actress reflected on how making changes may not always be easy, especially at the beginning. Her message focused on facing an internal struggle and finding the determination to keep moving forward.

“Kung gusto mo talagang magbago magagawa mo,” Katherine wrote.

She then acknowledged that one of the biggest challenges may come from within.

The former indie actress ended the thought by emphasizing the importance of helping oneself when pursuing a better direction in life.

Her latest message carries added meaning in light of what she has publicly shared about her life in recent years.

In a 2025 interview with Julius Babao, Katherine spoke about her past struggle with illegal drúgs and disclosed that she had spent four years in detention following her arrest in 2020. She also discussed the difficult period that followed and her decision to change her life.

By January 2026, the actress again spoke openly about her recovery. Katherine shared how much her life had changed in less than a year as she worked on rebuilding herself.

She also received support from Coco Martin and Julia Montes during her recovery. The two helped her receive treatment for an eye condition, something Katherine publicly expressed gratitude for.

Katherine is known for her work in Philippine independent cinema. She earned recognition for her performance in the 2003 film Babae sa Breakwater and was cited as Best Actress at the 2004 Cinemanila International Film Festival.
